Volcanoes National Park

Set high in northwestern Rwanda along the Virunga volcanic chain, Volcanoes National Park is one of the most awe-inspiring natural sanctuaries in the world. Dominated by five dramatic extinct volcanoes, the park’s mist-shrouded slopes are covered in bamboo and dense equatorial rainforest.

This park is world-renowned as the sanctuary of the endangered mountain gorilla.
