Laikipia Conservancy

Stretching from the slopes of Mount Kenya to the edge of the northern frontier, Laikipia is a premier model for community-led conservation and private wilderness stewardship in Africa.

Unlike public national reserves, Laikipia’s private conservancies (including Lewa and Ol Pejeta) offer rare flexibility: night game drives, guided bush walks, camel treks, and mountain biking. It is home to more than half of Kenya’s endangered black rhinos, Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, and the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
