Kunjan Afrika
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and travel arrangements made with Kunjan Afrika (“we”, “us”, “our”). By confirming a booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully before making any travel commitments.
1. Booking & Confirmation
- All safari bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a signed booking form and the required deposit.
- A booking is considered binding once confirmation is issued in writing by Kunjan Afrika.
- The person making the booking confirms that they have authority to accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all travelers in the party.
2. Deposits & Final Payment
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your safari itinerary.
- The balance payment is due no later than 30–60 days prior to the safari start date (exact timelines will be specified in your invoice).
- For Elite and high-season safaris, full payment may be required earlier due to lodge and flight policies.
- Failure to settle the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of services without refund.
3. Pricing & Inclusions
- All prices are quoted in the agreed currency and are based on current rates, taxes, park fees, and exchange rates at the time of quotation.
- Prices typically include accommodations, meals as specified, scheduled activities, park fees, and ground transportation as outlined in your itinerary.
- Prices exclude international flights, visas, travel insurance, personal expenses, tips, and optional activities unless stated otherwise.
4. Changes to Itinerary
- We reserve the right to make minor changes to accommodations or routing due to availability, weather conditions, or operational requirements.
- Any changes made will maintain the same or higher standard of comfort and experience.
- Significant itinerary changes will be communicated as early as possible.
5. Cancellations by the Guest
Cancellation charges are determined by the date written notice is received:
- 60 days or more prior to travel: loss of deposit
- 30–59 days prior to travel: up to 50% of total safari cost
- Less than 30 days prior to travel: up to 100% of total safari cost
Please note: Lodges, flights, and permits often have stricter cancellation policies which may apply.
6. Cancellations or Changes by Kunjan Afrika
- In the unlikely event that we cancel your safari, you will receive a full refund of payments made or the option to reschedule.
- We are not responsible for additional costs incurred due to cancellation, such as flights or personal arrangements.
7. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)
- Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all guests.
- Insurance must cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings.
- Proof of insurance may be requested prior to travel.
8. Health, Safety & Medical Requirements
- Guests are responsible for ensuring they meet all health requirements for travel to Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
- We strongly recommend consulting a travel health professional regarding vaccinations and preventive medication.
- Guests must disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation in safari activities.
9. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
- Guests must hold a valid passport with at least six months validity beyond their return date.
- It is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain the correct visas and comply with immigration regulations.
- Kunjan Afrika is not liable for denied entry due to incomplete documentation.
10. Responsibility & Liability
- Kunjan Afrika acts as an agent for accommodation providers, airlines, and transport operators.
- We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our control, including weather, wildlife behavior, government actions, or force majeure.
- Participation in safari activities involves inherent risks, which guests accept upon booking.
11. Wildlife & Safari Experience Disclaimer
- Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, as animals roam freely in natural environments.
- Safari activities are conducted with respect for wildlife conservation and local regulations.
- Guests must follow guide instructions at all times for safety.
12. Photography & Marketing Use
- We may use photographs or videos taken during safaris for marketing purposes unless guests request otherwise in writing prior to travel.
13. Governing Law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the country in which Kunjan Afrika is registered.
- Any disputes shall be resolved under the applicable jurisdiction.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with Kunjan Afrika, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
